a/n: oh how I'd need this right now- my first ever Aizawa fic! oh how much I love this man character pairing: Aizawa x reader genre: fluff trigger warning: alcohol masterlist and requesting
Your gaze shifted more and more frequently from your dissertation to the clock at the corner of the screen, and your fingers ran through your hair in frustration instead of raising the word count on the dreaded paper.
From the depths of your lungs, a deep sigh arose: as much as you didn’t want to admit, you’re too tired to be productive and can’t continue working effectively.
You put your elbows on your desk in front of your laptop and lowered your head into your palms: you wanted to get so much more done today to stay on schedule!
Your muscles felt stiff, and judging by the loud cracking sound your back made when you decided to stretch your arms out, it was time you actually got up and moved around a little to freshen your blood flow up a little.
As you made your way to the kitchen from your desk, you heard keys dangling and the door opening with a slight creak; Aizawa finally arrived home.
‘Hey’, you said, rubbing your eyes, ‘you’re home early.’
Early - for you at least. It’s rare for Aizawa to be back before midnight, and it’s not unusual when he’s out for the whole night, but now, he was back home at 11 at night.
‘Since Yamada is on duty tonight, Nezu let me off early tonight.’ explained the man while he took off his shoes.
Aizawa made his way straight to you and placed both of his hands on your waist, firmly holding you, as if without his touch, you couldn’t be standing there - which was half the case anyways. From all the sitting and studying, you were beyond exhausted.
‘Meaning, I’m yours tonight.’ he smiled, making eye contact with you before he leaned down to place a kiss on your lips.
You put your hands on his chest, then slowly made your way up to his neck where you wrapped your arms around him and buried your face in the creek of his neck.
You took a deep breath to inhale his scent - oh, you missed him so much.
Aizawa lowered his head, so your face would touch with his - his stubble tickled your face a little, but you wouldn’t change this feeling for anything in the world. His warm skin against yours, the little tingling of his facial hair against your skin, his soft hair slowly falling onto you, his arms firmly holding you close to him, his body unconsciously reassuring you that you are his and his only - the most precious person in his life.
He slowly turned his head to press another kiss on your cheek.
‘So, how’s the dissertation going?’
‘Shota, don’t even mention it.’ you groaned, while you walked into the kitchen with him.
Aizawa chuckled, ‘It cannot be going that bad. Here, let me fix something for you.’
The man opened the kitchen cupboard and took down two glasses alongside with a bottle of whisky.
He dropped a couple of ice cubes into each glass, which landed with an elegant clink at the bottom; after that he filled an appropriate amount of whisky to both of the glasses and handed one to you.
‘Fancy.’, you said smiling, slightly raising your glass while slowly making your way to the living room couch, with Aizawa closely following you.
When he sat down to the couch, instead of letting you sit next to him, he grabbed your arm and slightly pulled you towards himself, guiding you onto his lap.
You chuckled and put one arm around his shoulders leaning on him, while he supported you with his free hand, while he was holding his glass in the other.
‘To us, finally spending time together before midnight.’ you said in a low tone while catching his gaze, making eye contact with him.
‘I’ll toast to that.’, he nodded with a smile, clinking his glass gently to yours.
Aizawa finished his drink just a little before you did; which gave him the perfect opportunity that after his other hand freed up, he was free to caress your soft cheek and play with your hair, while you finally decided to rant in detail about your dissertation.
The back of his hand slowly caressed your cheeks, then his fingers wandered around your arms and your palm, drawing little tracks all over you while soaking all your words in.
These were the moments he appreciated the most with you.
Just the two of you, you being close to him, so close that he can hold you, because he has to hold you; he has to have his hands on you, to feel you next to him, to feel that you’re here with him. He loved seeing passion get the better of you, be it you talking in-depth about your dissertation topic which you actually really loved, or you cursing your paper out of this world. Your passion for knowledge, for wanting to know more, for making an effort to make this world a better place and not giving up - oh how honored he felt that you let him be next to you to accompany, support and love you.
You placed your empty glass down next to Aizawa’s, now wrapping both of your arms around him, leaning your head down on his shoulder and snuggling close to his neck. You took a strand of his hair in between your fingers and subconsciously started playing with it.
While you were busy with Aizawa’s strands, you didn’t even notice how, even though unintentionally, you’re also caressing his nape.
Your soft fingers against Aizawa’s neck sent a slight shiver down him, and his grip around your waist tightened, pulling you deeper into his arms, so close that you were completely pressed against his warm body.
‘I needed this.’ you admitted, snuggling closer to him. His arms around you felt like a warm, protective blanket, shielding you from all your worries and responsibilities: a safe space, just for you. ‘I’ve been a bit stressed lately. I missed you.’
‘I know, baby. I’m here now.’ he whispered, pressing two long, hazy kisses on your cheek, slowly getting closer to your lips.
His lips brushed up against yours, you felt his stubble on your skin above your upper lips.
‘I love you so much.’ whispered Aizawa before he pulled you into a passionate kiss, his hand sliding from your waist to the back of your head, pulling you deeper into his kiss.
Your lips moved along with his, your hand cupping his cheek, not wanting to let him go - not from the kiss. Not ever.
Because when you have Aizawa next to you, you know: there’s no such thing as impossible.
Just like how Aizawa knows that as long as he has you by his side, he will protect you and treasure the sense of home and belonging you provide him with.

HMMMMMM interesting to think about arranged marriage with prince shouto...............
i think he wouldn't know. what to expect with you. i think he'd have an idea, as in, what his father, the king, has taught him; the duties of a wife, where your importance ranks in relation to his duties. what he's not meant to discuss with you, like politics and matters at court and foreign relations. how you will speak to him. what to buy in the event that you become...unhappy. a nuisance.
("and she will," enji had muttered, briefly glancing up from the parchment on his desk to fix shouto with a look he didn't understand. "they always do.")
you don't meet until the royal wedding, when you're coming down the long aisle of the grand cathedral, dressed up in a swathe of silk and lace. a thin, gossamer veil hides you from him, but he can feel the ardor in your eyes, the intensity burning through the material. it doesn't seem real until your bare face is only a breath from his own, until he has to see the earnestness in your stare, too.
your kiss is simple and chaste, nothing spectacular, something that leaves his mind as soon as it's over. ever a todoroki, a hundred other things enter his mind, all regarding his now iron-laid obligations: it's vital he meet with advisor keigo to reiterate the plan to establish his authority among the council; general aizawa is in attendance to the wedding, and shouto has not yet received word on his opinion of the new king's ideas to modernize their armed forces; midoriya is somewhere, no doubt wanting to go over state affairs again.
truthfully, shouto doesn't spend long "celebrating". there's already too much that's required of him, hardly enough time to even scarf down a few bites of the banquet laid out before he's being chartered off into discussions on foreign relations and infrastructure development. maybe once or twice does he look back to check on you, chatting pleasantly with his mother and sister at the front of the great hall, and that's satisfying enough.
it's not until much later that he sees you again; freshly bathed and wearing something sheer and long and white, atop his bed.
or his marriage bed, he must remind himself.
enji didn't spend long going over consummation, with him or either of his brothers—natsuo, red-faced and annoyed at the very subject, always storming off, and touya had seemed well-aware of the process, at the time (back before he'd been ex-communicated). it had sounded simple: strip off your dress, get his cock out and into you, and only retreat once he was sure his seed had been spilled.
—so he's not exactly sure what to do or think or how to feel, when you're laid bare and reaching up to hold his face.
it's so startling that he sits back on his knees, to frown where he's looming over you.
you stare at him quietly, like you're expecting him to say something, and he only has a moment to wonder if this is you becoming an unhappy nuisance—what had been the answer, to solve this, anyway?—before you let out a soft laugh.
"c'mere," you tell him, sitting up, too, when he keeps his distance. "i want you to kiss me."
"i already have."
"yes," you laugh again, amusement glowing in your eyes, like the warmth off the fireplace, as you reach for the ties on his trousers. "but you're meant to do it again."
and up until then, he'd felt confident in his achievements, his executions; he'd managed a lot today, in one evening, and he had a lifetime to manage more. it was a good a start as any, he'd thought, but now—
shouto almost can't get the words out when he feels your hands ghosting up the inside of his shirt, nails tickling over his ribs. "a-am i?"
you wrap your arms around his waist in what could be a hug, scooting forward to look up at him with your chin against his chest. "yes," you smile and—it's familiar in a way, how touya would whenever he was teasing. "you're my husband, you're meant to kiss me whenever i want."
that—was not something his father had ever said, he was sure, and it was a too-rare exchange between his own parents. now that he thinks about it—and he does, then, because he's faced with the reality that he doesn't know as much as he should—he's not sure the former king and queen even sleep in the same room, much less the same bed.
much less hug and touch and even smile, the way you do now.
there's no argument he can make against it, aside from finding keigo to find his father to verify the truth to such a statement, and he's only meant to retreat from this bed on one condition.
and if this is what it takes to meet that—then shouto supposes he'll have to do it, for now. he's a brand new king, after all, and it would seem he still has much to learn.

okay does anyone else find it very icky that immediately after finding out kurogiri is a nomu and a victim of nonconsensual medical experimentation and malpractice. the pros n hpsc ppl immediately transfer him to a hospital for their docters to do nonconsensual medical experimentation on him to try and both see if they can turn them back into oboro and also just to see how the nomus tick. like maybe its cause i am a firm Kurogiri Should Be Allowed To Be Their Own Person And Should Actually Be Allowed Agency In Their Story believer but genuinely even if you think kurogiri is just amnesiac oboro this still feels shady on SO many levels.
also the fact we get NO comment from Mic or Aizawa. ik grief and anguish over the fact your dead highschool friend is an undead villainess butler now but they are the only vector we ever get updates on kurogiri so them never bringing it up just makes it feel like they dont care. let our dead best friends reanimated corpse be poked and prodded by a team of random government doctors. who cares what the actual person made from him says as long as theres some small vain hope they might get their long dead friend back.
this could all be very interesting and explore the hypocrisy of the heros/hpsc and give Mic n Aizawas relationship with kurogiri some genuine depth, but we don't get that because the kurogiri-oboro plot was inserted in for extra angst and an excuse to make aizawa extra pissed at and resentful of shigaraki and was just left there when it was time to chase another big shonen boss fight. i hope they actually manage to address any of this when the kurogiri-mic-aizawa plot actually shows up again but with how things are going. i severely doubt it. and after spinner and dabi i severely doubt they are actually going to find a genuinely satisfying conclusion to this arc. which is honestly just so fucking disappointing.

Why does love have to be strictly familial or romantic. Why can’t someone love from the bottom of their heart without it being ribboned on a label of “fatherly” or “sibling” or “lover”. Why can’t a mentor truly care for their student without it being parental. I honestly find it more poetic to love someone like that. Idk
Yes this post is about Aizawa, I’m sorry, and no this post is not about Vlad- that is a proud father right there
(Started this post with the intent on talking mostly about mentor-student relationships but I’m too tired for that)

Tagged by @serendipminie Thanks for the tag!!!
Tumblr media
Husker from Hazbin Hotel
Tumblr media
Aizawa from My Hero Academia
Honourary mention:
Tumblr media
Sanji from One Piece. My younger sibling was helping and this guy was their first answer. Their reasoning was and I quote “sanji from one piece bcs cooks bomb ass food (even out of nothing) and loves all the pretty ladies” so there’s that. They clarified that they mean this in a loving and joking way but if anyone has siblings you understand this is actually bullying.
Tagging (no pressure): @smushedmuffin @haahka @we-survive-endlessly @loveable-sea-lemon
@staticmonster999 <- said younger sibling who called me a one piece character. Get tagged bitch.

Anyway I do think more people should talk about the fact that Hizashi is confirmed to be the most versatile of the three idiots, having stellar grades in literally everything, whereas Aizawa is above-average in most everything but sucks at fistfights [fanfics have a habit of making him good at fights right from the start which is proven to be blatantly untrue] and Oboro has the worst overall grades of the three but is great when doing his work experience
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On top of this! Oboro and Aizawa are super stiff when dealing with the public but Hizashi is a natural because he's already got his webcast [on his phone and everything awww] which eventually becomes his big radio show
Tumblr media Tumblr media
What I'm saying is that they all represent three different types of neurodivergent behaviour. They're all autistic. To me [Nemuri also autistic btw hope that helps]

Look I know it’s probably just a retcon or continuity error and it’s a very small scene so who should even care (me, I do) but in season 1 when the kiddies are picking hero’s names there is the oh so famous flashback to Mic giving Aizawa his hero name and in that flashback (which I Presume happened their first year) Aizawa seems extremely confident in what kind of hero he wants to be. He even says I’m going to be an underground hero so it doesn’t matter. Which is in complete contrast to second year Aizawa who is just kind of listless and unsure of himself and what he wants yo be. An Aizawa that depended on his best friends to give him confidence. Where did that confident Aizawa go? The Aizawa that was just a miniature of the Ine we have now. And on some level I know the change is just because it’s a more compelling story to travel back in time to see are steadfast unshakable mentor figure as an unsure and insecure teen. But for a minute let’s pretend it’s not a poorly thought out retcon/continuity error it leaves us with the question of what could have possibly shaken little first year Aizawa so greatly that he’s lost all confidence in himself by his second year?
I am utterly fascinated

If you asked me about canon MHA ships
“I don’t really think KiriMina works. It should’ve been Kirishima and Bakugou-“
Me: idk the thing I enjoy about KiriMina that really really sells the relationship is when you think about what Kirishima likes in a person. Yeah you could argue he’s so obsessed with manliness he has to be gay, but it’s more about what his definition of “manliness” is. Like, selflessness. Pure toughness and endless determination. People who won’t take nonsense, regardless of how terrified or unfair the situation seems. And what is Mina? A badass tomboy who isn’t afraid to be herself, is strong, and steps up to save people in need, even when she’s terrified. Is that not the EMBODIMENT of what Kirishima finds admirable in a person, man or woman? And he looked up to her as a kid for this reason too!!!
“What about Kaminari and Jirou?”
Me: I get it. I was more of a Kaminari and Shinsou person when I was young because I liked their moments, but now? I think it’s fucking adorable that Jirou discovered what being a hero means to her and found a true passion in music all through Kaminari’s influence, while Kaminari learned he doesn’t have to be afraid of stepping up by thinking about the people he wants to protect. That to me is peak bromance AND romance my guy!!!
“How about Present Mic and Ai-“
Me: no yeah they’re dating

well. finished yakuza 5.
#not gonna go into all my thoughts right now because it’s A LOT but#the ending was pretty good overall like I got my little complaints here and there but overall I was pretty satisfied#the choice of final boss (for kiryu) was narratively pretty half assed but. I’ll let it slide because that fight was fun#i feel like shinada deserved more closure in the baseball realm of things#and I feel like majima should’ve had at least ONE conversation with katsuya at the end#I would’ve liked to see kiryu reunite with him as well but. you know#majima and saejima’s conclusion was also pretty open ended and not clear but yeah. idk just a lot of threads#that don’t feel like theyre tied yet#but despite how it sounds the story of 5 i overall liked quite a bit#it’s interesting that my friend really doesn’t like that there isn’t a singular Big Bad Villain that’s known from the start more or less#like in most games but I kinda feel the exact opposite in that I like the mystery and finding out who’s pulling the strings and all that#a lot of the characters in this game in general are very strong despite some being totally newly introduced#like I liked katsuya and watase and madarame and I’m forgetting his name but shinada’s loan shark#I liked aizawa alot up until the end where they pulled what they pulled and now I’m conflicted cause that was. weird. but yeah#OH and baba of course#idk alot of supporting characters felt really 3 dimensional to me#shinada’s great and very lovable and I’m very sad he doesn’t come back in 6 or anything m#I liked haruka’s ending generally too because she basically did exactly what I was hoping for#which is realizing her own dream and all that and not just doing the whole idol thing just to live out mirei’s ideal life#haruka finally getting to make her OWN choice that kiryu or mirei or anyone can’t interfere with#that was good that was very good#rambling#y5

I love watching shows and writing down my theories for the most popular ao3 characters and ships. Makes me feel like an archeologist or something
Sometimes I get it right and feel clever, and sometimes a ship I assume will be most popular is not there AT ALL and I'm like. I'm not even personally into this ship but it's OBVIOUSLY there, open your eyes people!
And then sometimes I ship I would not have even considered is in the top 3 ships and it's like. What?? Where are you all getting this???
It's fascinating

random things about my ocs (and aizawa because why not)
Masato is quite impressive on the dance floor. It doesn't take him long to find his rhythm no matter what is playing. Chances are if music is playing, he can be found gently shimmying his shoulders and nodding his head if he's not already begun to tap his feet. It's funny, he used to be an absolute wallflower up until he reached his twenties. He never would have danced before! Sure, his mom made him dance with her a bit as a kid but the way he feels about dancing now is... different. Though his clubbing days are long over, those nights in Gunma transformed him and although he could've gone without all the drama- he does miss the nights when he could knock back a few with his boys after a long shift and just let the music move him.
Arika has a few scrapbooks now. The hobby originally started as a way to document something more nefarious that she simply wanted to 'keep up with' but she realized that she could do it for other things as well. More wholesome things. With the help of the polaroid camera Kenji gave to her as a gift after she graduated college and her bucket of craft store supplies, she's committed to making the cutest scrapbook imaginable. At any point in time her coffee table has a messy pile of polaroids just waiting to be snipped/taped onto stationary. She's got a perfectly healthy, perfectly normal collection of photos of Goro mixed in the pile. Why do you ask?
Maria was a bit of a coffee snob. It was a pain for anyone to get her to agree to join them for coffee at a café that hasn't gotten her prior stamp of approval. Masato was always the more adventurous of the two of them and he'd have to combat her "Well, I just don't know if I'll like their coffee.' with a "How will you know if it's not good if you never even try it Mãe? C'mon, I know your tastes just trust me'. But even when she reached the counter that didn't mean that she was convinced. She was always polite about it when she'd ask in her sweet, careful but accented Japanese for "a simple cup of hot, black coffee, please." Her son took her to PLENTY of cafés but there were only a handful that she truly liked. In the end, as long as she had a functioning coffee machine at home and her preferred coffee beans were still just a train ride away, she was perfectly satisfied having coffee at home while she watching tv. No, exploration necessary.
Edna has a voice so powerful that she could bring one of the most powerful men in Japan to his knees and quite frequently does- to tears, even. When she sings, her voice comes from somewhere deep within her but it sounds like a million angels are calling out to the room instead and it can leave anyone with goosebumps. When Hiro first heard her sing- he cried. It wasn't just a few tears either, he sobbed. Hideously. She's brought Kenji to tears as well but he knew how to play it off, at least. With each member of her small family spread across the country to live their own lives while she stays in her private care unit, on her better days, there's no one to bring to tears with her song but herself... but no one could ever know that or they'd worry and she can't have that.
Hiro has a private bar room at the Wynn Royale on... permanent reserve, where he goes to unwind after a long day or sometimes entertain some guests of his. Classy place. He's aptly named it The Place so that when it comes up in conversation in front of people who aren't aware- and something major is going on, no one knows exactly what they're speaking of. Only authorized staff are allowed to enter The Place, they may have been employed by Wynn Royale but they only get authorization from Hiro. Naturally, authorization comes with clearance levels. For example, waiters are authorized at tier 1, entertainers are authorized at tier 3 but the bartenders- and there are 3 of them- are tier 5. Things can... happen at The Place and after a signal, the waiter is long gone, and the pianist ushered out, the bartender is prepared to serve more than drinks... Very classy place.
Kenji used to be a glorified errand boy when he was living with the Namikawa's, that was how he earned his Itou stripes. One of his responsibilities required, not driving Hiro around, Hiro had his own driver. Actually, he had to drive Edna and Arika around instead. It was a test and the kid passed with flying colors. After Hiro gave him money for a startup, his first goal was to earn enough to buy himself his own car- one just like the Namikawa car, newer though and sleeker, cooler. Naturally, he did and he hasn't missed an opportunity to cherish that car since... It's become a source of stress relief, even! When he's stressed, a late night cruise with the right cassette and a cigarette or two never seems to fail him. He's no loner though, he doesn't mind good company. Sit in silence or chat his ears off, just don't turn your nose up at his music selection.
